internet games in M1A1

When I first played Marathon v 1.2 back in 2000, I was on a really old Mac that could hardly keep up with the frame rate, much less connect for a LAN game. I used to play net maps by myself on Total Carnage just wishing I could face a real opponent on the original Mars Needs Women or E Equals MC WHAT!!!. Times have changed now; I have M1A1. So now for my question: how do you play online in M1A1? I never have been able to find a game. The manual says online Marathon 1 games are quite an experience. I'd like to play one.
