In Response To: Two things I'd like to see in AO (C Lund)

: Not tied to any specific scenario: 1) A scenario ID tag of some sort. The
: purpose of this would be to prevent players from joining a netgame tied to
: a scenario they don't have. Say for instance somebody is hosting an EMR or
: RX netgame... players who accidentally join this game while running
: regular AO infinity would be in for a very bumpy ride.

I'll add some tags to MML for this release; but they won't actually do anything. But they'll let you get your scenario ready to go for when that support comes in, without worrying about parse errors. Eventually (which may be a long while from now) they should allow the game type to be displayed in the Find Internet Game list, and prevent joining of incompatible games.

: 2) Let the infravision powerup negate the fog. As it is now, fog+infravision
: powerup = bilndness. But if the infravision powerup lets you see through
: fog, the thing would become quite useful.

I think you can do this with Lua. If you can't, get us to add hooks to Lua to make this work.

Btw, CLund, support for custom load screens is now in the line :) Look for a second preview release soon (this weekend?)
