Marathon LAN Games

For all of you wonderful people with a broadband connection to the internet, there is a wonderful alternative to the Mariusnet server. The program is called Hamachi. What this program does is allow you to creat a virtual private LAN over a broadband connection. It is very safe and very secure. The most prominent feature of this program is that you can play LAN games over it. Does anyone see the potential here? When you use it, it allows you to create a LAN over the internet. When playing the Marathon series over this LAN, the Host needs to turn on autogather and has to remind those on his or her network to turn off "Join By Address". the connection is faster and there is almost no Lag (if you have a 768Kb/s connection like me it will lag if you are hosting the game). The Aleph One Versions have to match as well i think. If you are playing Marathon II: Durandal and Marathon Infinity, you need to turn off the feature that allows you to broadcast the game over the internet.
