I remember that thread very well. I searched for it recently and couldn't find it so, thanks. Most of the material is pieced together from standard M1 backstory, but poena.dare read a lot between the lines. It's reasonable to think that the S'pht aided Durandal in removing any vestiges of programming blocks and certainly in transferring and adapting his program to Boomer's core, but there is nothing to suggest that they helped make his rampancy metastable.
