: As I understand it, if you Stuff (not zip!) the Mac files, send them to a
: Windows PC, and unstuff them, you will get an assortment of files X, Y,
: and Z, as well as X.resources, Y.resources, Z.resources, and so on. You
: can throw away all the .resources files except Map.resources and
: Images.resourcesm which need to stay (unless I guess you're using
: Portmaster or something, in which case you don't need to do this with the
: Map file, but I know nothing about that method). Trash the original Images
: (it's empty now) and rename Images.resources to Images, and you're done

This isn't really correct. Map files without the .rsrc work fine on my PC, and there's no reason to rename Images.rsrc unless you trash Images. There's no need at all to trash anything.
