Don't know if this is old... Marathon is chock-full of 3s, se7ens and 10s. The prevailing theory is that these numbers came from one of the Indiana Jones movies. Well, I watched that movie, and started reading the Decameron recently... The main characters in the Decameron are se7en ladies and 3 men (making 10 in total), the ladies being between 18 and 27 years of age (multiples of nine), called Pampinea, Fiammetta, Filomena, Emilia, Lauretta, Neifile, and Elissa. The three men are named Panfilo, Filostrato, and Dioneo. That's all I remember for now. |
