It might still lag a bit (or a lot), even if you have really good connections. One of the main factors to getting good gameplay in multiplayer in AO, is the distance. I've tried host a 3 person game and we got major lag because one of the people joining (who had Cable or ADSL by the way) lived on the other side of the country (New Jersey or something) while I lived in New Mexico.

I'm not trying to disuade you from trying ot play over the internet, just warning you.
