I take it you're playing M1A1, as this bob is not in the original M1, but he was in the original M1 demo. Here's the easiest way to find him. Head into the maze as directed - enter it in the usual place right next to that first PB. Head all the way down to where you can first turn right (you'll be heading toward that first elevator) and turn right again when you reach the elevator, but before you get on it, and then turn right again as if you were going to head to that place where you can leap across to get your very first glimpse of a compiler. Before you jump across, though, tab on the wall immediately to your right - a secret door will open, and there'll be Bob.
