An interesting level. I like the idea of the design - two separate ships that are quite different, and the boarding platform is neat as well.
I was trying to work out another way to get the invincibility so I didn't actually end up getting it at all this time around. I went in to the other secret without it so that 2x powerup was even nicer. And I did take the time to kill the lava 'yetis' as you said it. Rockets are nice here - for the jugger I tend to prefer fusion.
That 'trap' with the bunch of cyborgs is an interesting one - I didn't notice about the switch until I had killed them all around the other side, but it would have been useful ... it's not often you get to crush such seemingly solid things.
The big fight getting back into the Santa Fe is a bit of a pain - especially getting back to the beginning room for some health ... troopers galore! And then we head out blissfully unaware of what awaits us on the Diablo. I'll get onto that tomorrow.
