In Response To: DiaBD Volunteers: Galactica II, The Tower of Babel (MartiNZ) : Galactica II
Ah, yes, the quandry of hang time in vacuum - or rather the lack thereof. I love a challenging vacuum level, but not being able to use my skillz really sucks. How come troopers getta have all the fun? And after all these years (OK, in the Maraverse, not DiaBD), how come the UESC hasn't developed an AR that works in vacuum? : And then we can go the other way from the intersection. This eventually leads
Yes, and that switch is is in the corner of this large room and very easy to miss, especially when you're busy fighting drones. BTW, there are only 4 drones, but they regenerate immediately, so destroying them is absolutely pointless. : This raises a platform in the corridor beyond the circuit panel. From here
Actually, it's not worth the effort to use that switch. Simply transport there and run in toward the invincibility while the crushers are closed. As soon as they open, you'll fly in and get the invincibility before they can crush you. This is a handy trick I've used in other situations, too. : The Tower of Babel
Several attempts - yes, that's about right. You eventually learn the sequence of switches and can get to each one while staying ahead of the Ygn'oml (or galaxans, if you please). One important point - when you get to the final terminal, don't back up! If you do, the door to that little alcove will reopen and you'll get nailed by a slew of compiler bolts and have to ascend the tower yet one more time - or more. Yes, this happened to me. : This is bad news. Before we were told we would be sent back to 'our base',
I'll bring on Aye Matey tomorrow - I have it ready to go, but wan't to give others a chance to catch up. Do you want to take on Bats in the Belfrey, or shall I? I'm happy to take it on, or to take on the final real level, either way.
