In Response To: Will this help? (goran) : I've read through this whole thead now, and as I see it, there's a huge gap
Clearly. Here are the projects in current development I'm aware of:
For 1 and 2, the code in those areas was messy and unmaintainable, so we're fixing. 3 is a prerequisite for allowing us to use different MML scripts without restarting Aleph One. 4 will allow non-SDL users to connect to and host games listed at mariusnet. 5 lets lua scripts do things like guided rockets. Nightly builds are created automatically whenever there is a change in the code. If you want to guinea pig them for us, or if they have a new feature you want to use, that's great. But just by the nature of software development, we can't always get things right first time around. There will be bugs. I'd like to see new release builds once we get metaserver support and pregame network code to a point where we're happy with them. |
