I don't want to be pessimistic, just sarcastic, so my useless post it's just my though about this somewhat old thread. Neither E0 nor AO are the wave of the future for Marathon, we will always have a lot of bug-filled versions of AO with new features like "flarting Pfhors", an almost bug free version of AO, but with less "useless" features, and E0 still being in development (it will take ages to be a playable game with scenarios, the conversion of the original games, and so on... heck after 5 years of the release of the Open Source AO is still buggy, imagine a totally new engine, it will take at least 7 years... [although I like the idea of E0 and I really hope to see a full release) Things never really change in the Marathon community Around 2017, when Internet 7 is out and Internet 1 banned by the sole superpower of the world Microsoft, and games with Matrix like technology(connected directly to the brain) are the top fashion, this community will exist and will always discuss things like "What's the smell of a Pfhor", and will play Netgames in the Coriolis Loop. Certain webpage which I don't remember stated: "Marathon, is the game that never dies" well this is the end of my useless post Ps. Sorry about the crappy English |
