In Response To: newbee spreadsheet question (OT) (•M)

: Uhm, how do I do that (in a spreadsheet)?
: mac osx | appleworks 6 | mesa3 : all should do excel-style

Well, all I can attest to is Excel. Next to each cell, do the formula =A1*.25 where A1 is the cell with the value to be multiplied. If all your values are in one column, simply copy the formula and paste down to the bottom of your list. Now you have to convert the formulas to values. Highlight all of your formula cells, right-click and "Copy", right-click again and "Paste Special". Click the "Values" checkbox and then OK. The formulas are changed to numbers. Cut these and paste them over the original values and that's it.

If you can't get it right, send it to me in CSV format and I'll see if I can do it...
