What about BoB, indeed...

I was wondering, has anyone ever tried to explain the switch from handgun-totting bobs to vacum-sealed bobs in Marathon Infinity?

Are they just specially trained and equipped bobs that were onboard Boomer all along, but we just never saw them?

Were they created because of the changing timelimes? Were bobs in the infinity timelines rearmored because things are different?

What's the deal?
