: Weapons--

: [*] Fists now fire faster when dual-wielding.

Cool. I wonder, is there any way to make one fist faster but less damaging while making the other slower but more powerful? Sorta like a left jab-jab and then right hook...

: [*] M-2842A3 12mm magnum (dual wield): no scope, bigger and badder than the
: Mega Class. Lower rate of fire, but hits hard enough to knock opponents
: backward. Basically a 29th century Desert Eagle.

Ha ha, 29th century Desert Eagle....reminds me of Mel Brooks' "Jews In Space."

But seriously.

How much lower a rate of fire? Compared to the M2 handgun, you've only got 0.03 inch wider round diameter, so you're not really looking at that much more of a powerful handgun. Rate of fire would be reduced most probably not because of the action of the gun but the amount of time it takes to recover from the ridiculous recoil. Dual wielding would be even more difficult (maybe not for a cyborg), and almost totally impractical for a regular person. How many rounds will one hold? Are you going to increase the recoil for the larger round? Are you going to increase the theta error, as the larger the round the hearder to place? You say Desert Eagle, so this is an autoloader?

I've never understood the insistence on using big magnum rounds for standard sidearms in the Marathon scenarios, starting with ".45 magnum" in M1. If I were to need that much firepower I'd just use a shotgun, but hey. In truth, a single .44 mag or .45 mag or larger shot would blast a regular pfhor fighter in half, but sometimes it takes three or more shots to bring one down. They would be admittedly more effective against larger targets, but so would a rifle or shotgun round. Magnums have their place, but the idea of an "offensive/assault handgun" in this calibre is a bit silly to me, but as long as it's the starting sidearm I think it will work fine.

: [*] M-2851A1 “Thumper” automatic combat shotgun: a full-sized boom-stick that
: uses smart shells capable of firing either as buckshot or as a sort of
: slug round.

That's a pretty cool concept, being able to set and lock the load settings within the shell before shooting. By full size, does this mean it has a standard rifle stock or just a pistol grip, or both? About how long is the barrel? What is the action? What is the capacity and what form does the magazine take? What gauge shotgun is this? Will the rounds have smiling hippos on them?

: [*] M-2714A6 “Ripper” assault rifle: a bullpup configuration gun with an
: underslung semi-automatic 20mm grenade launcher. Closer to the KKV-7 in
: accuracy than the MA-75B. Also, they finally figured out how to make it
: work in vacuum, for what little good that does.

Cool. What calibre/round capacity?

: [*] M-2570A9 “Zip” machine pistol (dual wield): a small SMG with a large clip
: and insane rate of fire. Possibly fitted with a suppressor on certain
: maps.

Cool, same as above in terms of calibre and capacity?

Not trying to be picky or anything, just some technical questions...
