: It's impossible for you to boot up in os9, your computer is too new, but you
: can use os9 classic and it couldn't be easier to use it. double click on
: an os9 application you want to use and voila, the classic app starts up
: and allows you to run majority of os9 apps and games. :)

: But for marathon i suggest http://source.bungie.org <- Aleph One for
: osx. At least after panther my original Marathon 2 and Inf stopped working
: (while the 1st one still works)

Hmm, well specifically I'm trying to install a game called Bad Mojo, and it requires OS Classic to run. Since this is a recent release (or rather, rerelease) they're referring to the sort of OS Classic that would come on a G5. But when I tried to install Bad Mojo I got the same message: "The system software on the startup disk only functions on the original media, not if copied to another drive." Do you think that the fact I attempted to install OS 9 from an OS 9 CD might have fouled up the OS Classic application in Systems Preferences? Sorry this is getting so off-topic, and my situation isn't really that bad since there's a laptop in the house I can use. The laptop's not mine though, and I'd really rather use my normal computer. Thanks.
