Don't forget Juggernauts, Drones, and Lookers. They're almost certainly artificial as well. Are they Aggregate or Conditioned? There are references to Juggernauts being Aggregate, right?

Troopers can be Willful ranked, so they're probably more than just robots.

Hunters have only been mentioned as Aggregate units, but they look basically the same as other Pfhor. Except the blood color, which could be a function of the armor. And they have normal Pfhor-colored blood in M1.

Hunters look basically like Fighters and Troopers. You'd think if they were making artificial soldiers, they'd try making some modifications, so the machines would fill a particular tactical role rather than just filling the ranks.

So, I guess I can't answer the question. Are Hunters born or built, or are some born and others built? The Pfhor are probably capable of doing either, and either could be explained/justified easily enough.

If there are artifical biped Pfhor, then Hunters are probably them, but we don't really know.

The humans at Tau Ceti probably couldn't tell by autopsying Hunters, unless they have obviously electronic/orthogonal parts.
