WMaiD Desktops, information request

Hello everyone,
I've hunted down much of the source art I used to create the three images wanted as "letterboxed" desktop images from WMaiD.

However, can someone point me in the direction of another site with letterboxed desktop pictures I can use as a frame of reference?

Since I've not designed a desktop image before (I focus on more practical things...) I need to know what resolution (dpi) and size (ex:640x480 or 1024x468, etc.) to design them at.
