Going insane, Aleph One just wont work!

Hi :)
Can somebody please explain what the hell I am doin wrong?
I wanted to play Marathon on my PC (not MAC, PC).
My comp specs:
AMD Athlon 2400+ (2.2Ghz)
Corsair PC3200 512 mb RAM
Sapphire Radeon 9600 PRO 128MB
Baracuda 120 GB, 7200 RPM
nVidia nForce 2 Motheboard
Win XP SP1
I downloaded Aleph One/SDL program from here: http://mesh.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/marathon/AlephOne-20050118.zip
I unzipped the file, and put all the files in one folder, called Aleph One.
I the procedeed to download the game content from here:
http://www.danof76.com/marathon/
I downloaded all the 3 marathon games, and put each one of the games in its own folder, etc Marathon, Marathon 2, Marathon Infinity
I the read that each one of the games requires it's own copy of Aleph one, so I extracted one copy from the Aleph One .zip file into each of the different Marathon games.. now that is was done, I procedeed to click on the Aleph One.exe file in the Marathon folder, and nothing happened. I tried again, nothin happened this time either.
So, I go ahead and press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and take a look on which processes are runnin, and I find 2 alephone.exe runnin.. but the game still doesn't work..
So, please, please, please, can any one tell me what to do, before I destroy my computer by throwin it out of the window?
