Very nice summary, Steve. The only clarifications I'd like to make are 1) S'bhuth from the future didn't so much "come back" with Hathor - parts of him are still on the K'lia in the future, buried in it's databanks, and Hathor is still tied via a transtemporal link (an "ansible") to that future K'lia. When Leela manages to decypher Hathor's access to that future K'lia, she enters it's databanks and there finds the bits of S'bhuth that Hathor had been repressing. And 2) Durandal-Thoth was not met in the future, but outside of time entirely. Although I'm not really clear how either of these contradicts the Infinity final screen. Can you clarify? Also, she/they didn't meet you in the future they visited because it was the "nonexistant" W'rkncacnter-riddled future of this chapter's failure timeline, and if you hadn't left that timeline to make another, you would be dead anyway, so one way or another Leela wouldn't have found you. Although, I do have an unused terminal still in "Mad World"... maybe I should have Leela pop by and say a little Hello you screwed up get back to work you lazy killing machine - in a more polite, ladylike manner of course. |
