Marathon on a PowerBook G4 - Mouse Controls?
Posted By: ARCDate: 1/12/05 3:25 a.m.

Has anyone tried Marathon in Classic environment? I'm running a PowerBook G4, 10.3.5. Marathon 1 & 2 run fine (Infinity does something very strange on start-up, but that's another matter entirely), but the mouse controls are very jerky and unusable.

I don't think that it's a question of memory. Keyboard movement & looking are smooth. The mouse works fine in Classic otherwise (for example, when moving around the Preferences screen of Marathon itself). I'm guessing that something is going wrong when sending instructions to the game, but I don't know where to begin to track down a solution.

I'm using a Macally mouse right now and will try a standard Mac mouse later, but that's all I can think to do at the moment. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks...
