: Rubicon is the closest to being considered canon, in my opinion.

Canon would be something declared to be part of the Marathon story by Bungie or one of the original story creators. Anything else is fan fiction.

Tempus Irae, Eternal, and Rubicon/WMaiD are the only scenarios I know of that are unofficial sequels, continuing directly from M2/Infinity.
