Phoenix and Minotaur

: Having not played Minotaur, I wonder if it could be shoehorned into the Myth
: universe. It basically describes a time when people fought with primitive
: melee weapons, but also had acccess to some kind of magic powers. But
: probably not.

.......

There was an image a while back... I can't remember where from, some sort of contest (the Pillar of Art contest?), a Bungie-created graphic with characters from all of the Bungie games on it... and someone from Bungie said that the reason it was delayed in being released was that it contained an image of a character from an unannounced Bungie game. The image contained a "flat" (as in, you could see him fold like a piece of paper) character from Minotaur the game, but ALSO a "3D" (perspective drawing, like the rest) minotaur, like the creature. I hypothesized at the time that the "unannounced" game was a 3D Minotaur variant.

Also a while back, Bungie was working on a game based off the Halo engine, codenamed "Phoenix"; a seige-centric strategy game in a fantasy setting, which Bungie said was NOT in the Myth universe (this was back before the buyout so legality wasn't even an issue there). I've heard it quoted that Bungie is officially working on something else before they do another Halo game, and a reliable person I know close to Bungie seems to believe that they are resuming work on Phoenix.

What is I was right, and the 3D minotaur was the unannounced character? But he's not from "Minotaur 3D" or any such... he's from Phoenix. Very interesting.......
