Matt (Scifiteki) seems to work in sporadic bursts. I did some testing on a level or two for him (one had a very interesting waterfall in a huge open space. That's AO for you...).
However, since August (?) I've not heard anything. Steve Levinson was as miffed as I was. Marathon:NonLinear (M2 + Inf + new joining levels) is an immense project. I know Matt can finish it, given enough time and encouragment. He's in Australia's version of "school" right now, which I think cramps his spare time somewhat.
Although, if I had a choice between having Marathon:NL within a year, and having a bunch of his new stories for the MaraFF...
That guy and and Yoss are both quality production powerhouses when it comes to writing. : )
