Well, the liquids thing was only in M2 and on. Did Duke in 1995 get there first?
What about Doom? That had varying floor heights. Didn't you fly in an arc if you walked off a cliff?
Maybe we can distinguish between boring stuff like graphics/physics improvements that happened soon enough anyway, and stuff that it took years for the PC side to catch on to, showing how far ahead Bungie really was, instead of just how good at coding or how willing to increases the sys reqs. But I don't know if that makes sense; I need sleep.

Mac-only FPS released by Mindscape c. 1989. No connection to Bungie. Requires a Mac old enough to switch to pure black-and-white mode. Answering a distress signal, you arrive at an isolated research outpost and find it overrun by interdimensional aliens. As you search for survivors, the (somewhat simple) story is gradually revealed through a series of computer interface terminals.
