Thats more than likely. Like a message to mankind about the future :-)
But to me Marathon 4 has been around since the first third party map, maybe there is no official 'Marathon 4', but the story of marathon is endless and will be built upon the way it has been with both minor and major scenarios. You might even say there is an infinite supply of Marathon 4, and that is what we will have.
But an official one I don't think will ever happen. ;)
