In Response To: What is Rubicon X (Dylan)

: I'm curious now, what is Rubicon X. Sounds like you're taking Rubicon and
: adding more levels but that can't be right.

Rubicon X started out as a port of Rubicon to AO carbon, but morphed into a lot more. As you know if you ever tried it, Rubicon is incompatible with AO carbon - it crashes in a few specific places. The initial idea of Rubicon X was to make it fully compatible and to deal with some of the inherent bugs in AO at the same time. But as long as we're redoing parts of Rubicon, why not add some new levels for the heck of it. And how about high-res textures. Ane maybe we should tweak the existing levels a little bit so that experienced players would be caught off-guard. And then I had to open my big mouth about the fact that we never got a chance in the original Rubicon to take Tycho up on his offer - hence the birth of the Tycho plank. The Tycho plank isn't that big a deal - some of the existing levels modified to fit and a new ending level which is just about done - but of course each tweak takes time.

It will see the light of day - we just may need to let go of a few things we'd wanted to do.
