Already tried that, and am still trying it. There are two chip slots in Poor Yorick (for the two chips in Robot World obtained through cooperative play), but they no longer serve a purpose. Apparently they were intened to open the secret exit to Two for the Price of One, but then the decision was to make that exit accessible to single players as well. There aren't any repair missions so far as I know before the rebellion level, By Committee, so there really is no other place to deposit that chip. There is a worry, however, that the extra chip might make it impossible to leave Hang Brain. Such a bug is known to exist in Rubicon - it's possible to pick up an extra chip and then not be able to leave a later level because you failed to pick up the chip on that level. Hopefuly Bungie didn't make the same mistake here, but there's only one way to find out.
