I guess you got your copy of M2 Win - I should have read this post before replying ;^)

Which switch are you talking about? There are a couple of light switches, there is a secret switch that opens a door to a secret area, there is are a couple of elevator switches in the secret area and there is the switch I think you're talking about (you can probably tell, I've played this more than a few times). The switch you're probably talking about is the one that opens the very heavy door back to the start of the level, am I right? Actually, it stays open for 2 seconds - I just timed it. Be sure to head for the door immediately after flipping the switch - you'll have more than enough time to get through. BTW, if you want to see something cool - fire a shot out that window to the left of the switch (but save you're game first!). Bet you didn't know they were there. This is one of the things that makes the Marathon series so special - it's the attention to little details and fine points of the story that make it great. There are so many little extras in these games - you can spend years exploring them (and some of us have).
