It's nothing to do with how well-remembered Marathon is. Bloody hell, people are still playing and talking about the game ten years on. Marathon has endured, no question about it.

My point is that it's not realistic to expect non-Bungie entities to make games based on Bungie's intellectual property - especially when Bungie itself is still very much a going concern.
