Ok, briefly there are 8 switches in that central room. Number them from 1 to 8 counterclockwise. First hit switch 1 and switch 5. Go up the elevator that is activated and shoot the switch at the top. Then hit switch 2. Go up the next elevator that is activated and shoot the switch at the top. Then hit switch 3 and switch 6. Go up the next elevator that is activated and shoot the switch at the top. Then hit switch 8 and quickly run over to the large platform (there is a sufficient delay for you to reach that platform) to the west. Go up that platform and hit the switch at the top. Finally, go up the next elevator that is activated. That takes you to the rest of the level. Hope this helps.
