In Response To: Map editors, which do you use? (Siphonopho)

: I have two reasons for asking,

: 1)-I'd like to know which editor people generally use for all around map
: work, from minor dabbling around to the more serious work (and how you
: feel about it, in terms from ease of use and features).

: 2)-Are there any map editors out there (or coming out) that either: A.Don't
: crash/give white screens when in visual mode and too many polys are in
: view

: B.Have an alternative method of texturing walls

: Thanks for your time!

Yes, I too have this question, for as far as I know the answer is No. I'm working on a map that's got some 90WU views in it (yes, I am insane - but it's a mountain, it needs long, wide views to get the proper scale) as far as I can tell so far my only option for texturing it is to set some lines to solid non-transparent and effectively break it up into smaller "rooms", texture those in Forge, and then set those lines back to non-solid transparent to play in-game.
