The two first lines of the "poem"

Once wild: Bungie as an independent game developer
Wild again: Wideload
Urbanity: Microsoft
Discover better: Alex moves on

The top burger bap of the literary section looks to me like a list of Bungie's games in this order:

Halo (rings)
Marathon (Leonidas -> Thermopylae, Marathon?)
PiD (demons)
Myth (myth, excalibur, arthurian legend heavily influenced myth)
Minotaur (Theseus' foe)
ODS (the west invaded iraq, destroying homes)
Gnop (dot bouncing off walls)

Alex Seropian was involved in all of these.

The rest of it I'm not so sure of though, but it really sounds like something to do with Wideload. Friend of a friend may be referring to the company as friends of Bungie. I guess a lot of Bungie
fans will follow Wideload for this reason. They are friends of our friends: Bungie.
