Pathways Shapes File

I used to think that the Pathways Into Darkness shapes file was uncrackable but then i found this ---> http://bighouse.bungie.org/pathways/rants.html where it says down near the bottom

"This green headless is the only strange looking thing I've found on the dumped bitmaps from the PiD Shapes file"

dumped bitmaps?

any one know how this is being done? thanks!
