Did I say that? Wow. That sounds wise of me. I should go re-read that thread, all I recall of it in hindsight was that I probably sounded like some pompous ass trying to brag about how much I got laid. But yeah, what you said I said sounds good. I'd even apply it forward to ALL relationships, with a modification - the value is split over how happy they make you at the moment, and what you learn from them that you can apply to make you more happy later.
Actually, I'd add two more aspects to it too: those same qualities, from the other person's perspective. If I had a blasse relationship that I didn't learn much from, but it changed the girl's life for the better, I'd call it worthwhile. It's all about universal happiness man.
Goodness = happiness * # of people * duration.
