See - through scopes in A1

Well yesterday I made my Mi pistol's scope the blue background color so that in game you can see through it. Works fine in infinity but when I use it in Aleph One the scope is filled the way it is normally. I know its possible I've seen it done in A1 before, anyone know how I can get it to work?
