: Very cool. Dan borrowed a lot from a mish mash of old time existing Air Force
: uniforms giving his character a "retro-modern" pilot look. I'm
: curious as to what keeps his eyeballs from protruding out on stalks like a
: crab when he is in vacuum. I must assume he has a helmet he dons (that is
: not shown) that would provide the HUD as well as air pressure. That petty
: concern aside, you gotta love it when a talented person dabbles in
: Marathon. Thanks for the heads up!

: Gary Simmons
: the Battle Cat

My theory is that Dan's Marine wears my Marine's helmet, and my Marine wears Dan's Marine's mask, thereby rendering each vacuum-proof. Only not at the same time.

It is kinda odd, because Dan included the big ring collar, and it looks like the collar has an inner seal that would keep suit pressure, but the helmet has no visor or apparent way to seal to the suit. With the mask he'd be proofed against lack of oxygen, but the lack of air pressure and the near-absolute-zero temps of space would be hard on the eyes indeed.
