I had a similar problem when Raul first sent me the texture pack and scripts to test. Assuming you've put the MML script in the "Scripts" directory within M1A1, the next most likely culprit is some cross-platform text mungering has happened that is keeping the app from reading the script as a valid MML file. I think the correct fix is to make sure that your cross-platform settings in WinZip or whatever program you used to unzip the files are set properly, but I seem to remember I was able to open the MML script in a text editor and re-save it as a text file and that fixed my problem.
Give that a whirl, and if it doesn't work we'll try something else.
