I guess we just have very different taste. And I thought the ambient sounds were superb. Let's just agree to disagree ;)

: I disagree. I think that the enemy looks in M1 are more interesting, and in a
: way, somewhat more realistic than the sequels. The ones in the sequels
: looked like they walked out Pokemon or something, in a way, to me, many of
: them didn't make me feel like I was fighting aliens very much, it was
: almost like I was really fighting a bunch of goons in childish costumes. I
: also think that M1 was VERY high-tech, I don't really think that MI's
: environment was all that different than M2's. I agree that maybe the ship
: could use a little ambient sounds, but bungie isn't all that good (well, I
: don't know, maybe they did good at this with Halo) with making ambient
: sounds, so they sound almost as bad as listening to static. I don't know
: about you, and I love ambient sounds, don't get me wrong, but I much
: prefer the background music. It added more emotional atmosphere than any
: of those dorky ambient sounds did, and I don't really think that the lack
: of ambient sounds was THAT bad. Besides, it added some spookiness to it,
: it didn't really need ambient sounds, the silence fits the environment in
: my opinion. I don't really understand why the Wasps seemed dorky to you,
: but I guess that's just our different tastes.
