I think he was only joking... I know you were just trying to be helpful, but if you're old, you should know that people always fear change and hold on to the old ways. This is not only out of fear, but we're lazy too. When MacOSX first came out, I was like "Oh God noooo! I'm too lazy to relearn everything that took me years to learn in the first place!" .
