In Response To: Re: PC user need help expanding(?) AO files w/ Stu (Ockham's Razor)

: FYI: I think I figured out the problem.
: I have the latest version of Stuffit Deluxe and a BIG change from version 7.5
: to version 8.0 is that the Cross-Platform options dialog has disappeared
: and there is no longer a way to produce a MacBinary file from a Mac .sit
: file.
: So!
: Unless I missed something, PC users should stick with earlier versions of
: StuffIt and not upgrade if they wish to retain cross platform support.
: On a side note, sorry about using this story forum for tech support.

Great feedback, send this to Adam and see if he want's to include it in his tutorial. As I'm a PC noob, communicating directly with him will get you better results. Seems to me there was a similar problem with Mac Stuffit 8 that was resolved with a patch. PC Stuffit 8 has gone to 8.01, see if that patch helps.

One of the functions of this forum is Marathon tech support. I don't think you are abusing anything here. You might have better results though contacting Tophet at Orbital Arm. There is a forum there too, one that specializes in Marathon for Windows.
