Vid Boi is back
Posted By: Vid BoiDate: 1/21/04 1:00 p.m.

I dunno where I've been missing really.

This has nothing to do with marathon, but I just read this on the front page:

"Almost all sand contains small amounts of iron. Over time, the iron oxidizes and turns red. Therefore, the age of a desert can be determined by the color of its sand. Red deserts, like those on Mars, are ancient."

Doesn't it take oxygen for iron to oxidize? Is there oxygen on Mars? I'm not being a smartass, I'm just uneducated so I will probably get the answer "yes there is". =)
