In Response To: Re: quick Forge question (D-M.A.)

: You have to use Anvil for that. Anvil is the shapes tool that came with
: Marathon Infinity. Open up both the M2 shapes file and a copy of the
: shapes for Infinity. Copy and paste the textures from the M2 file into the
: copy of Infinitys shapes file.

I think that you might be able to use a modified M2 shapes file, too, and doing the modifications would take less time/be easier/be more efficient than individual copying and pasting. I'm guessing that Forge crashes because the M2 shapes file has fewer wall textures than the Moo file, so when Forge attempts to load the last couple wall bitmaps into memory, there's nothing there but death.

So you might try this first: open both the M2 and Moo shapes files in Anvil, check to see how many wall textures are in Moo, and add dummy bitmaps to the ends of the M2 walls collections, up to (or, if you want, beyond) the number of bitmaps in the walls collection of the Moo shapes.

Of course, if that doesn't work, just go with the previous suggestions.

Good luck,
-Lunair
