In Response To: OS X (Todd)

: I'm an OS X n00b. To my great joy, I discovered one can access FTP sites
: directly from the finder, like they're a folder on your own machine. Much
: to my chagrin, I also discovered one cannot upload files even if you're on
: an account with such privelages. Is it all possible to do this? Am I not
: doing something correctly?

Haven't tried it myself, since Fetch is free for academic types like myself, but I think I have an idea. The built-in firewall in OS X allows FTP access in, but not out (so people can't raid your hard drive). Try going to the file sharing preference pane in system preferences and turning FTP on. I'll bet that will work, but remember to turn FTP access off when you're done.
