Is it the knowledge of the hosts that make the : Flood intelligent or do they have intelligence on their own? If you operate on the idea that the Flood use a sort of hive mind to coordinate the entire group, then each new infected host raises the overall intelligence of the group (kind of like an additional synapse). So the hive mind, and to some extent the individual drone, gains the information stored in a host. As the hive mind grows in intelligence, it increases its ability to utilize that information. Well, it's one idea. [snip]
