Sorry to tell you ridik, but difficulty doesn't matter. the marines randomly spout lines no matter the difficulty. Marty in his divine wisdom instructed that I play on Easy to find lines. That is all I play on to find lines. I play on legendary to experience Halo at it's finest when not looking for dialog. It's easier to keep them alive for longer and hear lines as well. The more times you do a particular section over and over again, the more variations you get. Like this morning I found another four or five marine lines by reloading save points and listening to marines talk about what event had just happened. Grunts are a pain in the butt, they screw with my hunt for Elite dialog by being too noisy. I generally kill everything in a room that doesn't relate my search, leaving the elites free to chat away. Now that I know the jackals have lines, this technique means that I will be replaying the same room at least twenty to thirty times before I get tired of it and move onto the next area. I guess you can call me dedicated, or obsessed. Btw, I have only just started to catalog lines that the marines say after they accidentily kill you in battles. This is really difficult to do as the marines tend to hold their fire when you stand in front of them. I have to run into a pack of covies and hope that the marines throw grenades. It's easier to get them to run over me, but I prefer friendly fire for the challenge. I can't take lines from people who post them. Unless I hear them for myself. They can't make the list because I cannot verify that the line posted was exactly how it was said in-game. I appreciate the lines that people are posting, but I can't use them due to this reason. If you have a look over at Panzer's list you will note that many, many lines are just plain wrong or made up. I cannot bring myself to follow this method of collection. It's too unreliable. I do not doubt that the lines here are correct, I just cannot confirm them. I thank everyone who wants to help with this though, you guys rock. If I allow lines that get posted here, I open myself up to very false line that get posted as well. I can't do that. -Hedge, ONI Linguistics, Hope Bay, Mars Colony.
