: about the chief's ship, because as we see later in the cutscene, he is
: literally right on top of the covie ships.)
I've already added my revised changes previous to this, I think what Louis ended up posting is a fairly good representation of the dialogue.
: Other then that, ya did pretty good son. A few things I noticed about the
: trailer: 1)The Earth must be in pretty crappy shape. In the beginning of
: the first halo, one seriously outdated and outclassed frigate was able to
: hold its own for quite some time against supieror covenant forces with a

: that the marines there were the best of the best, and the last that Reach
: had to offer, the stakes in this battle are most certainly a hell of a lot
: higher. Theres a reason the home team usually wins.. unless we are talking
: about the Mets.
Well the engament you mention wasn't a full scale battle as what was seen with Reach, I doubt that even at reach the covenant fired every bolt they had. So I think that we can assume once they gained Earth's coordinates they got a pretty damn big fleet ready.

I don't remember that, perhaps Reach was the last major colony world. As far as time passing I am fairly sure you are right. Because we know the Covenant didn't gain the coordinates from Reach or Halo, the next assumption is that they simply found earth over time.
: 3) The covies apparently got the quaradants for Earth somewhere other then
: the master chief, since he arrives well after the battle has begun, and
: neither the admiral nor the general consider the MC an active asset in
: this last ditch battle, or else he would have been leading a full platoon
: of marines. As keyes knew in the beginning of the first halo, the MC is
: definately mankinds ace in the hole. So since they didn't follow him
: there, they must have dug up the info somewhere else while he was enroute.
: Makes ya wonder if that floating metalic ball of mayhem was finally able
: to make it to covie teritory putting around at 5 mph.
I don't see how 343 would know, the Nav banks of the Autumn already had had the coordinates purged, or should have, Keyes' nueral link is accounted for, as is Cortana. I assume that the Covenant found earth another way.
: 4) The MC's assault rifle had some sort of asian writing right behind the
: breach and below the sight (dig the scope.. can we finally zoom the AP
: rifle?!)I would really like to know what that writing says if someone was
: bored enough to figure it out.
This has been discussed, as it appeared in the pre-trailer screenshots
: 5) The MC is still short, sweet, and full of green hued whoopass. Brings new
: meaning to the designation 'Halo Jump' don't it?
: Oh, and for those of you who don't have a military background, a HALO jump is
: a form of aerial deployment used most frequently by airborne rangers. HALO
: stands for High Altitude Low Opening. They basically jump out of Herc's
: high in the sky using pressurized flight gear, and don't open their chutes
: until the very last second, snapping them from terminal velocity to a
: harsh landing in about .003 seconds. Talk about your contents shifting in
: flight. Leave it to the MC to again redefine miltary combat tactics.
