Maybe what is in the trailer is not in : the actual game, but part of a cinematic that tells the story that happens : between halo1 and halo2. : DONOT ASSUME ANYTHING Yeah or the MC could just Hijack the ship and take it to the covenant homeworld, and THAT is why there is more than one spartan, so Halo 2 actually takes place on the Covenant Homeworld!
