: After several clips of needler rounds, the aiming seemed to "slide"
This is because you've killed them and most likely imparted a huge velocity into them with the needle explosions. However, when they enter that "frozen" state, they don't update their physics, and consequently won't move--but they still have that velocity. Now, the second piece of the puzzle: the aiming assist takes the velocity of an object into account and helps track that object. So despite the frozen unit not moving, it still has velocity, and the assist is trying to be helpful by predicting movement that will never happen. -rex |
