Louis, I could be wrong, but I think the actual ledge is the one warbow posted about here: http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=96750 The one you are pointing to, if I am not mistaken, can be reached by warthog by going around the other side of the mountain/plateau. Regarding the shooting stars... I think they are plasma pistol shots, but they certainly look like shooting stars:) If i'm mistaken then "doh!" Movie below... (it's really hard to capture the shooting stars but if you look carefully you should see one in this movie)
